3rd Annual Craft Kegs and Eggs is a Huge Success for Elliott’s New Wheels and Hop Hedz Gear

By Paul Miller

Hop Hedz Gear is proud to announce another successful event, but this event had a much more important meaning than most other events we do. Craft Kegs and Eggs, held March 16 at the Batdorf Restaurant in Annville, was a fundraiser for our favorite little guy Elliott, which raised $1000 toward Elliott’s New Wheels.

Elliott was born with cerebral palsy and is in dire need of a wheelchair accessible van. Day-to-day activities are increasingly difficult for his family now that Elliott is getting older, heavier, and is also 100% dependent on his parents for his mobility.

The event itself was magnificent.  The Hop Hedz crew started off the day bright and early, as the event began at 8 a.m. and ran until around 3 p.m. The Batdorf Restaurant had a wonderful and eclectic Irish breakfast menu, including an Irish Breakfast and an Irish-themed Eggs Benedict with corned beef.

After the crew had the chance to sample the fare, the marquee event of the day, the 2-hour craft beer tasting, began at 10:30 a.m. Patrons of the event were treated to an amazing selection of craft beer, including many of the region’s best and most innovative breweries.
